3- Cancellations & Changes

Deposits taken at time of booking are non-refundable, however deposits taken may be transferable to alternative bookings rescheduled within the same season up to 14 days prior to the booked charter date, subject to availability. Palma Boats will make every effort to comply with clients request for changes up to the date of the cruise, but cannot guarantee availability.

Cancellation by the client up to 14 days before the cruise date will result in loss of 50% deposit. Cancellation made by the client within 14 days of the cruise date will result in loss of payment.

No refunds will be made for clients who fail to show up for the booked cruise/charter.

No refunds will be made for late arrivals, however the boat(s) will remain available for use up to the scheduled end time of the arranged cruise/charter, subject to any alternative itinerary as may be necessary during the remaining time available.

If the cancellation comes from Palma Boats due to a break-down, mechanical failure, bad weather or any other unforeseen circumstances and cannot make the trip on a different agreed date, the customer is entitled to a full refund of any monies paid.

In the event of bad weather, the Captain will have the responsibility of deciding if it is feasible and safe to depart. We all understand customers want to have a nice day on board, and high winds or continuous rain will be grounds for cancellation. Clouds and light & short showers which are normal in Mallorca during the whole year are not grounds for cancellation.

5. State of the vessels and security

Whilst on board, the captain has full authority for any decisions regarding the use of the vessel and in particular all aspects of safety.

The boats are checked for damage before and after every charter and a log kept of relevant items.

If any significant damage is done to the vessel or Palma Boats property due to negligence or failure to comply with instructions by our crew, we will have to make an appropriate charge.

Smoking on board is strictly restricted to the aft swim platform ONLY. Any burn damage to internal upholstery will result in a charge for full replacement cost of the item as repair is not normally possible for such items.
